They only provide you with an analog phone line. They deliver that analog phone line to you using VoIP technology, but as far as you are concerned it is just an analog phone line. So you will need some hardware to connect that analog phone line to your Asterisk server. If you have the converter box you get from Vonage in the same location where you have your Asterisk server, then you could simply get an additional FXO module for the TDM400 card and plug the Vonage line into that. Alternatively, you may want to sign up with a true VoIP service provider in the US, for example Voicepulse Connect http://connect.voicepulse.com which has various advantages over Vonage: - you don't need any additional hardware to connect to your service, it's all IP. - you get multiple concurrent connections instead of being limited to a single line - you don't pay any monthly rental for outbound services, only the $7.99 for the DID number. - you get IAX protocol support which is far superior to SIP in terms of ease of use, security and reliability rgds benjk -- Sunrise Telephone Systems, 9F Shibuya Daikyo Bldg., 1-13-5 Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.
