When it comes from the factory, the IAX is set to contact a DHCP server
to obtain it's initial IP address. This is so that you can contact it
for the first time to program it.
>From there, you need to run the configuration utility on it to set the
rest of the parameters. If you choose to assign it a static IP address,
it will retain that address indefinitely. If you tell it to continue
using DHCP, it will continue to request an IP address from the network
each time it boots.
