asterisk users - Oct 2004 - Does Asterisk supports Sip Info Method?

Hi everyone

I am trying to add voice mail functionality in a Sip
Softphone.

QUESTION 1:
My question is that does asterisk support Sip Info
Method?

I have configured a voice mail box for a Sip account
but currently i am unable to send dtmf digits via rfc
2833 
(reason is cz the Softphone which i am using is
developed by myself and currently it does not have
this functionality)

I did sent an INFO request to asterisk and got a 200
OK reply but no action was taken.

QUESTION 2:

On which port does asterisk listens to dtmf digits
(rfc 2833)...i am asking this question cz someone told
me that asterisk listens to dtmf digits on port 101.

yes it does.

in your SIP user/peer definition in /etc/asterisk/sip.conf use

dtmfmode=info

BTW, you would have been able to find this out all by yourself if you
had bothered looking at sip.conf and the comments therein.
