asterisk users - Oct 2004 - Problem with hearing 2nd call when call on hold hangs up

Hi,

We're encountering a situation with our *.  I'll explain it as it was 
explained to me...

1) A call comes in through a Quintum gateway. * connects the call to the 
destination sip device.
2) A 2nd call comes in for the same destination sip device (not sure it 
it has to be voip).
3) The 1st call gets put on hold for the 2nd incoming call
4) The 1st caller gets connected to music on hold
5) If while the 2nd caller and the sip device user are talking, the 1st 
caller hangs up, the 2nd caller
   and the sip device user can no longer hear each other.

Note that this condition only occurs if  * is used to only to connect 
the two parties, not to handle the entire call.
If the entire call is through *,  then the problem does not occur.

Asterisk version is 1.0.1 with G729 codec (licensed).
