asterisk users - Oct 2004 - No sendmail on * server

Hey guys,
 Is there a way to 'not' run sendmail on the * server yet still receive
the
"You got new voicemail" emails? Instead of connecting to sendmail
locally,
can it not connect to the sendmail on our mail server?

You should never run sendmail.

and as far as a cheap forwarding-only MTA, grab nullmailer.

look for a little program called mini_sendmail or mini-sendmail.  It's a 
sendmail CLI replacement that does transport over SMTP instead of just 
dropping files in the local daemons queue.
