asterisk users - Sep 2004 - I am newbie with asterisk

hello, I am new in the asterisk world, I want to install a server of PBX with
this software, I need information and documentation to see for where to begin
to investigate on this. Some reference that they can give me? I use slackware
basically.

which the asterisk reaches are?
