[Asterisk-Users] Failed to bind to 0.0.0.0:5060: Address already in use
Hi, I have a strange error, that I haven't yet found in another posting on the archive. Here's my sip.conf: [general] port = 5060 ; Port to bind to bindaddr = 0.0.0.0 ; Address to bind SIP channel to context = default ; Default context for incoming calls callerid=No CallID [stefan] type=friend secret=blah username=stefan host=192.168.0.160 dtmfmode=rfc2833 ; Choices are inband, rfc2833, or info allow=all mailbox=1001 context=default1 disallow=all allow=ulaw allow=alaw When I start asterisk I get the following error messages: Failed to bind to 0.0.0.0:5060: Address already in use That's not true, cause netstat shows that this port isn't controlled by any program. What's wrong with my config? Thanks for any hints in advance. Why don't you configure the IP address instead of leaving it 0.0.0.0? While that should work, it's always a good idea to be specific about your bindings. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Stefan-Michael. Jay Milk worte:>Why don't you configure the IP address instead of leaving it 0.0.0.0? >While that should work, it's always a good idea to be specific about >your bindings. >I already tested the configuration with bindaddr=192.168.0.101 which is the correct ip of the asterisk box - same result: Address already in use.
