Hi, What is the correct format of the registry directive in the sip.conf MY_PHONE_NUMBER= my phone number assigned at my sipprovider MY_USERNAME = myusername assgigned at my sipprovider my_sectret_at_sip= my password assigned at my sip provider PROVIDER_DOMAIN=my siproviders domain a) register => MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN b) register => MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN c) register => MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN d) register = MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN The problem is with current stable csv I seem to not be able to register with the providers, though I can place phone calls via SIP :-) currently nitotel,and sipgate fails iptel registers Is this a bug (http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0001475) or some provider error Thanks -- Togan Muftuoglu
Lets go for e... register => MY_USERNAME:my_secret_at_sip@PROVIDER_DOMAIN On Wed, 2004-05-05 at 14:17, Togan Muftuoglu wrote:> Hi, > > What is the correct format of the registry directive in the sip.conf > > > MY_PHONE_NUMBER= my phone number assigned at my sipprovider > MY_USERNAME = myusername assgigned at my sipprovider > my_sectret_at_sip= my password assigned at my sip provider > PROVIDER_DOMAIN=my siproviders domain > > a) > register => MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN > > b) > register => MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN > > > c) > register => MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN > > > d) > > register = MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN > > The problem is with current stable csv I seem to not be able to register > with the providers, though I can place phone calls via SIP :-) > > currently nitotel,and sipgate fails iptel registers > > Is this a bug (http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0001475) > or some provider error > > Thanks

While seraching thru the bygzilla I came up with the below version and the symptom was exactly the same failinbg to register with the provider the only difference was the format of the registry line. On the other hand iptel.org work just fine with "=>" or just "="> >> a) >> register => MY_PHONE_NUMBER:my_secret_at_sip:MY_USERNAME@PROVIDER_DOMAIN >>Silly as I can put calls via sipgate yet I can not register iti now if only the calls were free also. Thanks anyway -- Togan Muftuoglu
The current complete specification is: register=<username>[:<secret>]:<authname>]]@domainhost:[<port>][/<contact>] where tokens in [ ] are optional. Never been able to get any response from Nikotel either. Are they actually operating at nikotel.com:5060 ? [Asterisk-Users] Correct format of sip registry
Hi!> Never been able to get any response from Nikotel either. > Are they actually operating at nikotel.com:5060 ?Read: http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0001533 Also: http://faq.nikotel.de/index.php?sid=74777&aktion=artikel&rubrik=010001&id143&lang=de&highlight=asterisk Cheers, Philipp
OOPS, wrong bracket direction should have been: register=<username>[:<secret>[:<authname>]]@domainhost:[<port>][/<contact>] Karl Brose wrote:> > The current complete specification is: > > register=<username>[:<secret>]:<authname>]]@domainhost:[<port>][/<contact>] > > > where tokens in [ ] are optional. > > > Never been able to get any response from Nikotel either. > Are they actually operating at nikotel.com:5060 ? > > > > Togan Muftuoglu wrote: > >> Hi, >> >> What is the correct format of the registry directive in the sip.conf >> >> >> > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users >

I can use sipgate.de to make phone calls but I can not receive anyphone calls. I just want to make sure myside works before I start complaining to them. To be honest my experience in Germany has not been so great with regards to customer service (the word does not exist ). Of course I had some exceptions, "beronet" "kamp-dsl". I do now want to talk about T-com at all as the they simply said "why did you order on the internet you could have called us." Yeah E-bullshit Nevertheless the people are nice, beer and wine are good :-) Back to digging my dialplan and drinking my beer -- Togan Muftuoglu
