asterisk users - Apr 2004 - pstn routing via cisco 1760 interface

dear all, as a newcomer to the Asterisk product was wondering if anyone can
confirm whether it has "routing" capability which allows routing to
the
PSTN, via a cisco 1760 FXO interface

if so, can anyone give examples of sip.conf (et al) which illustrate the
routing logic
