Voicemail is working fine (gs phone even shows indication), but I can't get email forwarding to work. The vm is written to the spool directory in wav format as expected, I see sendmail briefly start in a seperate 'top d1' display, but no email is ever sent from the * box. (tcpdump on port 25 shows no smtp conversation ever starts). * has internet connectivity, I can telnet to port 25 of my co's mail servers on the net. * is cvs/02/18/04 on redhat 9. What am I missing ? You don't say if e-mail can be sent out on the server not using Asterisk. Just try it. Log into the * server box as a noraml user and send an e-mail to hris@netlabz.com If that fails don't blame Asterisk or it's configuration. If the above test fails look in /var/log/maillog or /var/log/messages for the reason it didn't go. Many times your ISP's mail server requires a password authentication and for thatmatter you need to tell your sendmail to use that server a a relay --- Netlabz - Chris Clifton <chris@netlabz.com> wrote:> Voicemail is working fine (gs phone even shows indication), but I > can't get > email forwarding to work.
