Let me ask a simple question for some to answer. I need asterisk to perform three-party-conference between SIP phones. Is there any setting required on sip.conf ? I see Zapata.conf has threewaycalling=yes parameter. Is there anything similar required in sip.conf or elsewhere. I do not use any hardware. I use * with Cisco ATA 186 adapters. Thank you in advance. - SamW

Both my Grandstream and Snom support it so I am sure most phones do.. in fact off the top of my head the only one I know that specifically does not support it is X-Lite.. Later..

[Asterisk-Users] threewaycalling ? (Bridge 2 SIP calls?)

I use * with Cisco ATA 186 adapters.SIP phones are "fat clients": three-way-calling is a feature that the phone, in your case the ATA 186, must implement, this has got nothing to do with Asterisk. You can look at MeetMe() for Asterisk based conferencing, though. Cheers, Philipp

I have had no luck getting any three way calling to work. dave -- Dave Weis "I believe there are more instances of the abridgment djweis@sjdjweis.com of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."- James Madison
