Hi guys im trying to get NAT working on my system. im using 3 phones, 2000 = xlite, 2001 = xlite, and 2010 = some piece of crap voip phone. when i ring from anywhere to anywhere u can either never hear anything on both ends, or just 1 end can hear stuff. below is the output of sip show peers 2010/2010 203.1.68.90 (D) 255.255.255.255 49534 UNREACHABLE 2001/2001 203.1.68.90 (D) 255.255.255.255 5060 OK (6 ms) 2000/2000 203.1.68.90 (D) 255.255.255.255 59085 OK (7 ms) ( disregard the unreach part for now) from my testing it seems thats as long as the phone using the nat entry x.x.x.x port 5060 is involved in the conservation e.g 2001, on that phone you'll be able to hear from the remote party is saying.. but not vice versa.. i could be wrong though ? could anyone provide some help into this. thanks heaps :) p.s i still have the issue were when u hang up in the middle of a call the other party doesnt relise.. this happens in xlite and my crap voip phone, just incase anyones encountered this.. ? :)
Hi all, Hope somebody can help me to figure out the following scenario or send me on their config files if they have a similiar network configuration. I first set up asterisk and two clients on the same network and it worked fine. I now have asterisk set up which is acting as a sip registrar. It is behind nat. I also have two clients which are behind nat on two separate networks. I can no longer register the clients. I have set 'nat=yes' in the client config but is there something else I must do for the asterisk sevrer itself?... I find this situation confusing so if someone could clarify it for me, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance, Aisling. -------------------Legal Disclaimer--------------------------------------- The above electronic mail transmission is confidential and intended only for the person to whom it is addressed. thanks a million for the reply and link (even though as far as asterisk behind nat and sip goes it doesnt look promising)... Has anyone else any other ideas? Hey guys. I have to put my * behind a Firewall through nat on the firewall. The asterisk is running, but for example a register to an outside PSTN provider won't work. I enabled nat for the register but i only get Code 120 Send request. The other problem is, when i try to register with a sip phone which is behind a nat router i cant register. When the * is in official net all is working! Regards Rene
