Hi Folks,
(yes I have a few questions today :-)
Ok consider 3 asterisk machines...
(1A) <=> (2B) <=> (3C)
A1 is registered to 2B
3C is registered to 2B
If 1A calls 2B and 2B routes the call to 3C it should try and handoff
the call to go direct from A1 to C3. I have seen this happen for where
ALL machines are not behind NAT.
If one Machine is behind NAT i have (at least I think) seen it happen.
BUT the question is both 1A & 3C are BOTH sitting behind NAT does the
call handoff occur ?? (I just don't have enough NAT around to test).
Now the same question applies to SIP.
Does Asterisk attempt (or SIP allow it) handoffs ??
I presume if it does, if both SIP clients are REAL ip's there should be
no problem, but what happens if one or both are behind NAT ??
Now for the SIP question behind NAT, please note that on the Asterisk
server for all SIP we are running "nat=yes" in the config.
Any ideas ??
Gary
