Rumor on the IRC channel has a bug being fixed in the g729.so codec that was causing some hangups under certain circumstances. I see that codec_g729b.so in the ftp://ftp.digium.com/pub/asterisk/g729/ directory has a timestamp of today. Can anyone comment on the advisability of upgrading all of my g729-licensed sites? JT
Well this new code has the problem corrected. You should be able to just download the new codec file and place it in place of the old one (/usr/lib/asterisk/modules) Martin On Wed, 23 Apr 2003, John Todd wrote:> > Rumor on the IRC channel has a bug being fixed in the g729.so codec > that was causing some hangups under certain circumstances. Definitely should upgrade. Do not re-run the registration program unless it doesn't work for some reason. I would prefer you upgrade during the day so that *should* anything go wrong with the registration we can get you a new key.
