Hi, I am getting the above error when trying to install snv101a as a PV domu. My dom0 is also 101a. My cmd line looks like this : # virt-install -n p101a --paravirt -r 2048 --nographics -f /domvols/p101a.img -s 32 -l /export/solaris_imgs/snv101a.iso Starting install... Creating storage file... 100% |=========================| 32 B 00:00 Creating domain... 0 B 00:02 libvir: Xen Daemon error : GET operation failed: libvir: error : invalid argument in virDomainLookupByUUIDString libvir: Xen Daemon error : GET operation failed: Couldn''t find domain "23". Guest installation complete... restarting guest. virDomainCreate() failed POST operation failed: (xend.err "Boot loader didn''t return any data!") Domain installation may not have been successful. If it was, you can restart your domain by running ''virsh start p101a''; otherwise, please restart your installation. ..... # uname -a SunOS xxxxx 5.11 snv_101a i86pc i386 i86xpv # All the xvm related services are online except for ipagent. I need 101a as both host and guest. Any one saw this? thanks, surya

Does it work if you also include --noautoconsole?> Guest installation complete... restarting guest. > virDomainCreate() failed POST operation failed: (xend.err "Boot loader > didn''t return any data!")This error is because we tried to boot from an empty disk because the above install failed. Yes, it is repeatable. --noautoconsole didn''t change the behaviour. It still happens.
