Hi Folks, Has anyone installed a Debian Etch domU on a Solaris Dom0 (b75 or higher)? Any suggestions on a step-by-step process? I currently have b77 installed and running on an x86 box, booted into a Solaris Dom0, and trying to figure out next steps. There seems to be lots of partial documentation and descriptions floating around, but nobody seems to have posted a good howto yet. So... thoughts, suggestions? Thanks much, Miles This message posted from opensolaris.org
Debian Etch Distro (DVD) is not Xen enabled. It is supposed to be done after install (as Dom0) from the Net. This message posted from opensolaris.org

Also could use QEmu, Bochs, or Paralells, VirtualBox, etc to install the OS and retrofit support on later converting it out if its proprietary format (If it uses one). I''ve done it. Note that manual disk creating instructions tell you do use dd, so it''s basically ready to use this method. I tried this on Indiana (B75) James

I installed ubuntu in hvm and then replaces the kernel with a Xen aware one.
