xen discuss - Aug 2007 - Will Xen API be integrated?

Hi All,

I will be writing a Xen agent for Sun''s VDA kit and i''m
wondering if and
when the Xen API will be integrated into Xen for Solaris?  Most of the 
virtual machine actions I need to perform can be easily done through the 
API so it would be nice if I could count on it being available, is this 
possible?

The Xen API will not be in the initial version we put back. However, it is
planned for follow-up work. Unfortunately the released upstream version of Xen
(3.1) is incomplete and under-specified in this respect, so we will have quite
some work to do to finish this satisfactorily and solve the security issues.
