UNIX/Linux Architect Position Available: Location - Van Buren, MI
Hello, My name is Stacey and I represent The Epitec Group, a top tier IT staffing firm located in Southfield, Michigan. I am seeking a Linux/Unix platform architect with extensive hands-on experience architecting and deploying enterprise-wide server environments. This position will drive the creation of computing platform standards and the implementation of those standards globally. The candidate must have an aptitude for research, evaluation, and testing of new technologies and ability to influence senior level IT and business personnel. 1. Key Skills 1 Enterprise Architect 2 Linux and Unix Experience - architecting and building Linux and Unix server environments to host business applications and infrastructure utility components. 3 Enterprise Wide Standard Platform Experience 4 UNIX virtualization technologies - (AIX LPARs, Solaris xVM/Containers, and HP-UX VSE including Aries). 5 Migration experience from different operating systems 6 Setting strategic and architectural standards 7 System performance analysis and tuning 8 Scripting Experience Experience Required *Expertise in architecting and building Linux and Unix server environments to host business applications and infrastructure utility components. *Enterprise level deployment experience of Unix and Linux systems *Experience with various UNIX virtualization technologies (AIX LPARs, Solaris xVM/Containers, and HP-UX VSE including Aries). *Must have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as VLANs, TCP/IP, routing, sub-netting and firewalls. *A good understanding of storage/SAN technologies *Must have a driven and disciplined mentality capable of careful planning and precise implementation. *System performance analysis and tuning Beneficial *Architecting solutions that include Windows components *Websphere, Weblogic, or other java based middleware technologies *Experience with HP hardware environments and management tools Thank you, Stacey Lee Wilson Genius Finder THE EPITEC GROUP, INC. | 24700 Northwestern Hwy.
