Array Networks is a startup company in Campbell, CA specializing in
high-performance SSL-based security products. We have a position for
a talented and accomplished software developer/architect with a passion
for technology, network protocols and security, and the FreeBSD platform.
If you know the FreeBSD platform inside out and have implemented the
SSL protocol or at least a decent TCP stack, we would be very interested
in hearing from you. Here are the specific job requirements:
Senior Software Engineer/Architect (SSL/C/UNIX)

You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation
of high-performance network security software products. You will be an
integral part of the Array engineering team and will participate in all
aspects of software development. Expect to work in a fast-paced startup
environment.
This is a full-time/permanent position. Candidates based in the local
area (Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area) are preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
* Design and implement architectural improvements, new product features,
and enhancements to product capabilities
* Participate actively in team and company wide architecture discussions
* Employ technical expertise in helping team members solve technical problems
* Use your expertise on FreeBSD internals
* Adhere to release/project schedule and milestones
Job Requirements:
* Expert C/FreeBSD programming skills with a track record of developing
fast-path software on the FreeBSD kernel or on commercial-grade
network/security products
* Top-notch software design, creative problem solving, and debugging skills
* Expertise in SSL protocol development, including connection handling,
performance optimization, and PKI
* In-depth knowledge of BSD kernels and system internals
* A self starter - highly motivated, able to contribute and acquire new
technical skills with minimal guidance
* Protocol-level development experience with L4-L7 network protocols
(TCP, HTTP, etc) is highly desired
* Experience with integration of SSL acceleration hardware is a plus
(Note: this is not a hardware design position)
* Good verbal and written communication skills
