Xen devel - Mar 2009 - iscsi in stumdom?

Hi,

As I understand it stubdom runs minios which has a tcp/ip stack and it
is possible to run ioemu in stubdom with fs-backend in dom0 to
increase performance compared to running ioemu in dom0, what about
running a iscsi initiator in stubdom so that all of the block device
backends are contained within a stubdom rather than dom0 servicing the
block devices with fs-backend ?

has this been considered?

Should be possible, yes.  It will however have to go through dom0''s
network of course.

Note that block devices are usually not serviced through fs-backend.
That happens only when there haven''t been PV disks set up for the dm
domain, or CD image change for instance.
