That¹s nice for the ICH9, but why would we want Xen to emulate that behaviour? Does any OS relay on it? Do we look like an ICH9-based system to any OS? -- Keir On 7/11/07 09:32, "Wang, Shane" <shane.wang@intel.com> wrote:> This patch adds PIT alias ports (0x50~0x53) support. > > Signed-off-by: Shane Wang <shane.wang@intel.com> > > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-devel mailing list > Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel_______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel
In addition ICH9 appears to have more than half a dozen aliases for every one of the PIC master and slave registers. Are you going to try to have us emulate that bizarreness too? -- Keir On 7/11/07 09:43, "Keir Fraser" <Keir.Fraser@cl.cam.ac.uk> wrote:> That¹s nice for the ICH9, but why would we want Xen to emulate that behaviour? > Does any OS relay on it?
