(sending again now that the lists are back...) Hello, I''m trying to use Usher (http://usher.ucsd.edu/) which depends on xen''s python bindings. The part where I''m failing is the usherlnm tool, which tries to import xenstat.py and fails. I checked and found out that the python bindings weren''t built: [root@xen:xen/xen-3.2-testing.hg/tools/xenstat/libxenstat]# make all-bindings [...] /usr/bin/ld: src/xenstat.o: relocation R_X86_64_32S against `a local symbol'' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC src/xenstat.o: could not read symbols: Bad value collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [src/libxenstat.so.0.0] Error 1 Looks like there is an oddness on x86_64? I''m using xen-3.2.1-rc5 on a 64bit Debian Etch with Core 2 Quad Processor, gcc version 4.1.2, Python 2.4.4. (need more details?) The hypervisor itself doesn''t show any problems at all.
