[Ocfs2-users] OCFS2-versions and SLES9/10, second try
hi list, i'm still searching for the appropriate tools for ocfs on SLES9. the reason for my questions is, that i want to resize a filesystem. today i updated the ocfs-tools and ocfs-console to 1.2.1, but: the manpages of tunefs.ocfs2 says: -S volume-size Increase the size of the OCFS2 volume. This functionality is not operational as of now. and that's exactly how tunefs.ocfs2 behaves, it does nothing when called with -S except giving return code 1, no matter if called with the device mapper device or the scsi device. anybody out there with some hints? thanks in advance! greetings from berlin, thomas Federal Ministry of the Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany Z 6 - Application Service Alt-Moabit 101 D D-10559 Berlin Fon +49(0)30 18 681 2383 Fax +49(0)30 18 681 -5- 2383 mailto:thomas.zimolong at bmi.bund.de http://bmi.bund.de
You are using a very old version of the tools. SLES9 SP4 I believe ships a version that allows volume resize. OCFS2 FAQ has the version number of the tools that started to support vol resize.
