Specs: Oracle 9.2.0.4 OS is Redhat AS2.1 ocfs-2.4.9-e-summit-1.0.12-1 ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1 ocfs-support-1.0.10-1 ocfs-2.4.9-e-enterprise-1.0.12-1 Shared Storage: Dell/EMC CX600 naviagentcli-6.19.0.4.14-1.noarch.rpm PowerPath 4.4 Post navisphere shuttingdown, The ocfs service attempts to stop Then I get errors: Ocfs:Unmounting drive on [privatenic] 7959 err: unable to sendmsg error: -101, Linux/ocfsipc.co, 394 Then a status message -999 I'll try to get the officcial message, but it's not listed in /var/log/messages I've only started to see these, as stated in previous message I don't reboot often. Though other nodes I've rebooted recently do not have these errors, and they're all the same versions. Any ideas? Thanks in advance clarke ||||||||||||||||||||||||||| P. The network is being shutdown before the ocfs vol is being umounted. On umount, ocfs informs other nodes in the cluster of the same so as to remove that node from its nodemap. Well, as the net is down, sendmsg errors. Harmless, but 1.0.13 has a fix nonetheless. ocfs wrote:>Specs: >Oracle 9.2.0.4 >OS is Redhat AS2.1 >ocfs-2.4.9-e-summit-1.0.12-1 >ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1 >ocfs-support-1.0.10-1 >ocfs-2.4.9-e-enterprise-1.0.12-1 >Shared Storage: >Dell/EMC CX600 >naviagentcli-6.19.0.4.14-1.noarch.rpm >PowerPath 4.4 > >Post navisphere shuttingdown, >The ocfs service attempts to stop > >Then I get errors: >Ocfs:Unmounting drive on [privatenic] >7959 err: unable to sendmsg error: -101, Linux/ocfsipc.co, 394 >Then a status message -999 > >I'll try to get the officcial message, but it's not listed in >/var/log/messages >I've only started to see these, as stated in previous message I don't >reboot often. > >Though other nodes I've rebooted recently do not have these errors, and >they're all the same versions. >Any ideas? > >Thanks in advance >clarke > > >||||||||||||||||||||||||||| >P. so should I delay the network service from stopping till after ocfs has shutdown? As well as upgrade to 1.0.13? -----Original Message----- From: Sunil Mushran [mailto:Sunil.Mushran@oracle.com] Posted At: Tuesday, 23 August, 2005 20.44 Posted To: ocfs Conversation: [Ocfs-users] On Shutdown/Reboot Subject: Re: [Ocfs-users] On Shutdown/Reboot The network is being shutdown before the ocfs vol is being umounted.
