Facebooker talk - Feb 2009 - facebook "save my login info" login code

I am trying to find information about this and can''t find it anywhere,
the
application "Amigo" uses this to keep the application logged in so you
don''t
have to keep logging into facebook to use the application. The url it goes
to is: https://login.facebook.com/code_gen.php, generates a code, you put it
into the app and you''re all set.
I''m looking into doing this for my app, does anyone have information on
this
to help me understand and implement this process specifically with
facebooker if possible?
