I looked at Wine's Photoshop page, and it has an explanation of how to run
it, but I can't even get it to install. This is what I get:

I'm just wondering if there is a fairly simple fix to this. (I am still very
much an Ubuntu/Wine noob.) If not, I'm not really worried about it because I
have CS3 on my other computer, but it would be nice to have it on my laptop as
well.

Remove your ~/.wine directory.
Looks like you tried to install some CD-Writting software that installed
it's cd-rom driver. Those don't work on Wine.

What version of wine are you using?

Just for grins, try it with wine-1.1.15 and see if that helps.
