We faced this and found Red Hat has a Samba patch for RHEL version 8 and up
There is no plan to patch 7 afaik
We changed our RH7 Samba servers to use sss as a backend for winbind and it
seems to be working
Thanks,
Rob

Not sure, but 4.10.x is ancient in Samba terms, it went EOL in Samba nearly 5
years ago and by 'Linux 7' I presume you mean RHEL 7 or Centos 7, they
are both EOL.
