Hi all! I apologize in advance if this is not the mailing list to ask this question! Sometime ago I noticed I wasn't being able to create dot files on a cifs mounted share where I hadn't had any issues before on a workstation that is joined to a samba 4 ad domain and nothing changed in the dc or the file server. I just realized that I had changed the kernel from 5.15.161 to 6.12.16 in the workstation so I tried booting back to the old version of the kernel and I now am able to create dot files without a problem so the question is, does anybody know what changed in the cifs fs module of the linux kernel that could be causing this and if there is any parameter that would allow me to create dot files with the newer kernel? Thanks in advance! Best regards, Dave.
