Swfdec - Feb 2009 - Newest versions of swfdec and compatibility

Hi,
at the moment I am on a fresh debian Lenny,and i'm using libswfdec (Swfdec)
0.6.0 .
I would like to know if there are any possiblities to access newer online flash
contents as for example BBC iplayer(http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer) or
scribd(www.scribd.com) with the new versions of swfdec.
At the moment I can't access successfully flash content of those sites, so
before starting with a manual upgrade, i ask here.

I think you can save the work of a manual upgrade, because neither
scribd (requires Actionscript 3) nor BBC (requires RTMP) work with any
Swfdec release so far.

thank you...anyway it seems that some work is moving in this direction from the
gnash community...are there also any intentions to implement those in swfdec ?

There is also some work done implementing the rtmp protocol which may help you
go forward: check this http://sourceforge.net/projects/rtmpdump/
