I wanted to update samba backports from 4.20.2-dfsg-2 to 4.20.2-dfsg-5, and everything ended up in a mess. When I couldn't get anywhere, I waited until this morning, cleaned the apt cache, and made a new installation, and got 4.20.2-dfsg-6 instead. I had to rejoin the member server to the domain, so do backup smb.conf and nsswitch.conf, in case things go wrong. HTH, Peter
