[qemu-discuss] Images tested with SUNWqemu-0.8.2_REV_2006.10.18-sol10-i386-opt.pkg
fwiw I tested the following images with the current QEMU binary for Solaris X86. Note that for most images I did only a few tests (boot the image; check the network connection; start one or two preinstalled applications) Environment: Host: SunOS ferrari 5.11 snv_49 i86pc i386 i86pc QEMU: SUNWqemu-0.8.2_REV_2006.10.18-sol10-i386-opt.pkg OS Images ---------- DSL 3.0 LiveCD runs with kqemu for kernel code (Damm Small Linux) Nexenta Alpha6 Installation from iso image runs with kqemu for user code Nexenta Alpha6 from disk image runs with kqemu for kernel code Nexenta LiveCD Alpha5 runs with kqemu for user code Belenix 0.5 LiveCD does not run at all with QEMU Schillix 0.5.2 LiveCD runs with kqemu for user code Knoppix 3.7 LiveCD runs with kqemu for kernel code Knoppix 4.0 LiveCD runs with kqemu for kernel code Ubuntu 5.10 (from disk runs with kqemu for kernel code image) Windows 2000 (from runs with kqemu for kernel code disk image) Windows NT 4.0 SP6 runs with kqemu for kernel code (from disk image) Minix 3.1.1 runs with kqemu for kernel code http://www.oszoo.org/ftp/images/ Comment: to use the network: press esc in the boot menu and enter d0p0s0>qemu_pci=1 d0p0s0>save d0p0s0>boot Plan9 runs with kqemu for kernel code http://www.oszoo.org/ftp/images/ Comment: boots, user is "glenda" The readme states that it does not run with enabled kqemu ...
