dtrace discuss - Jul 2007 - Question about Mozilla DTrace

Hi guys,

    Here is a DTrace problem from Mozilla DTrace.

    Firefox 3.0 will support MacOS 10.4/10.5 when it''s released and
10.5
will have DTrace support. Currently we''re working on putting DTrace in 
Firefox 3.0. Is there any way that one Firefox 3.0 binary can work well 
on two Mac OS platforms? One with DTrace enable, another not?

This depends on how the Apple guys have implemented USDT on Mac OS X, but
on Solaris the glue code for USDT would silently fail when Firefox tried
to open the DTrace pseudo device. In other words, it should just work;
have you tried it?
