Hi, Is there an easy way to obtain statistics of user applications usage: who invoked what; for how long; what resources were used; etc. I am thinking of some kind of a super-ps that will integrate and summarize the usage profile during a long period of time - not just a snapshot. Background: I have a RH 7.3 machine that serves as the central node for a cluster that runs various scientific user applications: mysql, matlab, and various bioinformatics tools. We are considering upgrading the OS (to centos :-), or embedding it in our institute grid. Having detailed information on the usage profile will help us to decide about the strategy, and to implement once decided. The package you want is "sysstat", the command to start with "sar" and the man page "man sar". /Peter -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
