CentOS - Jan 2007 - tail -f /var/log/maillog error

Hi,

I am ruunig a Mailserver (Sendmail) on RedhHat 9,

 When I type the below command, it shows the logs for mail.
tail -f /var/log/maillog

But , Since this morning, It shows nothing.

why,

help needed.

Are other logs being written .. /var/log/messages /var/log/secure ... etc? 
Is syslog running?

I suggest you plan a migration to Centos 4.4 as Redhat 9 is ancient, its 
version of sendmail (have you at all updated that box?) is full of 
security holes and even if your sendmail has been patched against its 
security holes, the other stuff that comes with Redhat 9 is riddled with 
security holes.

Did you leave this running overnight? If so, your logs may have rotated, and
you are no longer "tailing" the right file.
