Shorewall users - Feb 2002 - No Question...

...just a comment.  I just wanted to say how freakin'' cool Shorewall
is.  I''ve tried in the past to convert my existing ipchains rules
over to iptables and subtle bugs always crept in.  I then went
looking for firewall packages and everything I found was made only
for simple home-connection masquerading and didn''t scale well to
weird firewall configurations.

Shorewall is the first thing I found that not only allows just about
any firewall setup you could want, but hides most of the complexity
in getting a new firewall set up.

I''m part of another Open Source project and I know how rare it is to
get anything other than configuration and build questions to the
discussion lists, so I just thought I would say, "thanks!".

Just wanted to chime in with my accolades!  I''ve implemented Shorewall
on three systems now, and I LOVE it!  It makes deploying and designing
a simple firewall trivial, and a complex firewall possible.

And the support?  Better than ANY free support and about 95% of paid
support.  Great job Tom!
