Hi Everyone, I''m about to take the Redhat 8.0 plunge and have one quick question.... Does shorewall and\or iptables need HTB? Thanks in advance Mike -----Original Message----- From: niels@wxn.nl [mailto:niels@wxn.nl] Sent: Monday, October 07, 2002 3:59 AM To: d.lesca@ivrea.osra.it; shorewall-users@shorewall.net Subject: RE: [Shorewall-users] [OT] RH8 (Update)> > b) The 2.4.18-14 kernel includes HTB :-)> What is HTB?It''s used for traffic-shaping (bandwith management) Niels. _______________________________________________ Shorewall-users mailing list Shorewall-users@shorewall.net http://www.shorewall.net/mailman/listinfo/shorewall-users

FYI, I setup a new 4 interface firewall box with a minimal Redhat 8.0 installation and shorewall 1.3.9b. Everything went smooth and our 2 class c networks are talking to each other without any problems. :-) Thank you Tom for all your support and a great firewall. I commend you on your dedication to this project and the great support that you give everyone, I don''t know how you do it day in and day out but I am grateful for the support you have given me and wish I could re-pay you somehow. Cheers, Mike -----Original Message----- From: Martinez, Mike (MHS-ACS) [mailto:Mike.Martinez@mhs-helpdesk.com] Sent: Friday, October 11, 2002 2:17 PM To: ''shorewall-users@shorewall.net'' Subject: RE: [Shorewall-users] [OT] RH8 (Update) Hi Everyone, I''m about to take the Redhat 8.0 plunge and have one quick question....
