[Samba] Create domain from ldif files is possible?
Hello samba team. Is it possible to create a domain from .ldif files? For example, the samba-tool domain classicupgrade command upgrades the domain and reuses the domain SID, user accounts, and other legacy samba objects. I believe that the samba-tool domain classicupgrade command in this process uses predefined ldif files and only imports information from the previous backend database (tdbsam or ldapsam). Would any of you gentlemen know the answer or give an example if possible? Thank you all.

Yes, because that is how provisioning a Samba AD domain works (which is run as part of the classicupgrade). No, because the ldifs are predefined in such a way that you end up with an AD domain, you cannot alter them. Perhaps if you were to explain just what you want to do and why you want to do it, we may be able to help more. Rowland
