[Samba] samba support for functional level and schema version
Hello samba team. In the official documentation of samba, there is information that samba supports the functional level up to 2012_R2, leaving the following note: "* Functional level is included for use on Windows but is not supported on Samba. Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 Kerberos enhancements are not implemented on Samba." After all, does samba support functional level 2012_R2 for domain and forest in some version of samba? I'm doing tests in a LAB: DC: windows server 2022 , schema version 88 DC: Samba version 4.15.4, schema version 88 (this result appears in the query made to the sam.ldb file) Domain and forest functional level in 2008_R2. Clients: Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7. So far there have been no replication failures and I haven't noticed any failures. Does samba really support schema 88(win2019 and win2022), or does it only support schema version 69(win2012R2)? If it does not support schema version 87 or 88 what are the problems that I can face in a domain with a DC windows server in version 2016 or 2019 or 2022 and a DC samba in the latest version or in version 4.15.4?
