samba - Sep 2022 - Reliability and stability over bleeding edge

Hey guys, just wanted to hear if you find a specific version / branch of
Samba particularly stable, I have no interest in trying new features I'm
only interested on stability and reliability.

Perhaps a version of Samba that's been running flawlessly for years is what
I'm looking for.

For most people security is a concern as well, and recent versions have 
seen several security patches? I think this question won't have a good 
answer, as stability is also a function of configuration, environment 
complexity, etc..
