[Shorewall-users] Question about the routestopped file
How do I get an interface to communicate on both a regular IP address and a multicast IP address in the routestopped file? comma separating them doesn''t work at all and multiple lines for the same interface don''t work either. EXAMPLES: eth0: 192.168.10.3,224.0.0.18 OR eth0: 192.168.10.3, 224.0.0.18 OR eth0: 192.168.10.3/24,224.0.0.18 (not trying to talk to the whole 192.168.10 class C so this isn''t what I want, if I understand the routestopped file correctly) OR eth0: 192.168.10.3 eth0: 224.0.0.18 Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam.

If you consult http://www.shorewall.net/configuration_file_basics.htm, you will see that a comma-separated list can never have embedded white space. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Shorewall - iptables made easy Shoreline, \ http://www.shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net
