I''d prefer to see you continue to concentrate on the back end. 
Especially
in a way that keeps it easy to understand and modify the configuration
by hand.  I still prefer to do it this way for many reasons.

the basic firewall alone and concentrate on bringing the Webmin module 
up to the current Shorewall release? Should I rely on John and the other

My Perl fu is very weak but I planned on having to master a new language 
anyway.
