However, this is what I'm seeing:
dn:
DC=ad01.,DC=example.info,CN=MicrosoftDNS,DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=SAMDOM,DC=EXAMPLE,DC=COM
dn:
DC=ad01.samdom,DC=EXAMPLE.COM,CN=MicrosoftDNS,DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=SAMDOM,DC=EXAMPLE,DC=COM
Followed by:
I believe the dns record should be:
DC=ad01,DC=samdom.example.com,CN=MicrosoftDNS,DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=samdom,DC=example,DC=com
But now you seem to talking about a record that should be:
CN=dns-ad01,CN=Users,DC=samdom,DC=example,DC=com
The? latter is created in one of two ways:
A) when you provision a new DC or join a DC with
'--dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ'
B) upgrade from the internal dns server to BIND9_DLZ with samba_dnsupgrade
So which are we talking about ?
The dns user account or the computers dns record ?
