Shorewall users - Mar 2003 - Gre Vpn

Tom,
    You state on shorewall site that gre vpn is not secure. What does that mean
exactly. Do you encourage ipsec?

There have been a number of articles published that point to the relative 
ease with which MPPE (the encryption used with PPTP) can be broken. IPSEC 
is better in this regard.
