[Gluster-users] Only one server in GlusterFS pair is working.
I've created a GlusterFS server pair, with GlusterFS v 3.2.5 (because Debian uses that version, and all our servers are Debian), using the official guide:http://www.gluster.org/community/documentation/index.php/Getting_started_overview [1] I'm able to successfully mount the Gluster volume from another machine on the network and read and write files to it, but I can only connect to server 1 and I only see files written to server 1. I show no files being saved to server 2, and I can't mount the volume on server 2. I'm still able to do a peer probe from server 2, and the status of the server appears to be fine, so I don't understand what's going on here. Here's some output from the diagnostics I know about, any help in diagnosing this problem would be much appreciated. root at nfs1:/home/ernied# gluster gluster> volume info Volume Name: gv0 Type: Replicate Status: Started Number of Bricks: 2 Transport-type: tcp Bricks: Brick1: nfs1:/brick1/gv0 Brick2: nfs2:/brick1/gv0 root at nfs2:/home/ernied# gluster gluster> volume info Volume Name: gv0 Type: Replicate Status: Started Number of Bricks: 2 Transport-type: tcp Bricks: Brick1: nfs1:/brick1/gv0 Brick2: nfs2:/brick1/gv0 root at nfs1:/home/ernied# ls -la /brick1/gv0/scanner/etc/spamassassin total 148 drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 Jan 22 16:49 . drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Jan 28 11:48 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 939 Jun 12 2007 65_debian.cf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1815 Sep 11 2009 99_exim.cf drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jul 17 2007 bayes -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1299 Oct 29 2007 init.pre -rw-rw-r-- 1 root root 22554 Jan 27 15:24 local.cf -rw-rw-r-- 1 root root 2214 Mar 24 2010 local.cf.dpkg-dist -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 225 Jan 24 2011 sa-update-channels.txt drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Feb 13 2014 sa-update-hooks.d drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Jan 28 06:26 sa-update-keys -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 27 Jan 24 2011 sa-update-keys.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2524 Mar 24 2010 v310.pre -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1194 Mar 24 2010 v312.pre -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2416 Oct 29 2007 v320.pre -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1237 Mar 24 2010 v330.pre root at nfs2:/home/ernied# ls -la /brick1/gv0/scanner/ total 12 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 28 11:47 . drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 28 12:08 .. scanner:/# mount -t glusterfs nfs1:/gv0 /mnt scanner:/# ls /mnt/scanner/etc/spamassassin 65_debian.cf init.pre sa-update-channels.txt sa-update-keys.txt v320.pre 99_exim.cf local.cf sa-update-hooks.d v310.pre v330.pre bayes local.cf.dpkg-dist sa-update-keys v312.pre scanner:/# umount /mnt/ scanner:/# mount -t glusterfs nfs2:/gv0 /mnt scanner:/# ls /mnt/scanner/etc/spamassassin ls: cannot access /mnt/scanner/etc/spamassassin: Transport endpoint is not connected Links: ------ [1] http://www.gluster.org/community/documentation/index.php/Getting_started_overview -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Gluster-users] Only one server in GlusterFS pair is working.
Hi list. Did I ask this question the wrong way, or does nobody know how to diagnose this issue?
