[Gluster-users] Cannot move or rename files on 3.6.1 + Disperse Vol
Hi, with GlusterFS 3.6.1 and dispersed volumes I can't move or rename files. i.e. mkdir test, mv test test2 gives this error: [2015-01-19 11:23:47.464429] I [dht-common.c:1822:dht_lookup_cbk] 0-storage-recorder-dht: Entry /varie/test2 missing on subvol storage-recorder-disperse-1 [2015-01-19 11:23:47.466721] I [dht-common.c:1822:dht_lookup_cbk] 0-storage-recorder-dht: Entry /varie/test2 missing on subvol storage-recorder-disperse-1 [2015-01-19 11:23:47.468021] I [dht-common.c:1822:dht_lookup_cbk] 0-storage-recorder-dht: Entry /varie/test2 missing on subvol storage-recorder-disperse-1 [2015-01-19 11:23:47.468813] I [dht-rename.c:1344:dht_rename] 0-storage-recorder-dht: renaming /varie/test (hash=storage-recorder-disperse-1/cache=storage-recorder-disperse-0) => /varie/test2 (hash=storage-recorder-disperse-1/cache=<nul>) [2015-01-19 11:23:47.468860] E [ec-helpers.c:346:ec_loc_parent] 0-storage-recorder-disperse-1: Invalid loc [2015-01-19 11:23:47.469349] I [MSGID: 109030] [dht-rename.c:119:dht_rename_hashed_dir_cbk] 0-storage-recorder-dht: rename /varie/test -> /varie/test2 on storage-recorder-disperse-1 failed, (gfid = 78545b91-87d0-4bb1-9fe9-d9d95a4299bf) [Invalid argument] [2015-01-19 11:23:47.469400] W [fuse-bridge.c:1755:fuse_rename_cbk] 0-glusterfs-fuse: 89604620: /varie/test -> /varie/test2 => -1 (Invalid argument) Can you please indicate how to fix? [Gluster-users] Cannot move or rename files on 3.6.1 + Disperse Vol
hi RASTELLI, There were two issues we faced in 3.6.1 rename for ec. Panpan feng (CCed) raised the following bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1171681 for this issue. First bug is fixed by Xavih @http://review.gluster.com/9072, Panpan feng found that rename in same directory leads to a hang after this fix. I just sent a fix for that issue @http://review.gluster.org/9475. Will backport the patch after Xavier Hernandez (CCed) accepts the patch. Thanks for all the help panpan feng!!
