[Shorewall-users] su-wrapper doesn''t correctly exec shorewall status
Tom, I''m trying to finalize my web interface to Bering/Shorewall - I''ve been able to get a bug-free su-wrapper that works under almost every occasion but when associated - of course as root - with the command /sbin/shorewall status it returns iptables v1.2.8: can''t initialize iptables table `filter'': Permission denied (you must be root) Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded. - the same for ''nat'' and ''mangle'' tables. Q. Are there any workarounds for that? Do I need a different version for iptables? (Bering 1.2 - Shorewall 1.4.2) Many thanks in advance and best regards, Andrea Galmacci
