Shorewall users - Jan 2004 - Problems with transparent squid on the internal network.

I''ve followed the instructions in
http://www.shorewall.net/Shorewall_Squid_Usage.html
under "Squid (transparent) running in the local network", but I
can''t
seem to make it work. The rules look right when listing them, etc., but
www requests pass straight through the firewall without ever reaching
the box running squid.

Are those instructions up to date? Are there caveats I should know
about? Ideas?

Which probably means that you have not followed the routing part of the
rules correctly.

Those instructions worked the one and only time that I tried them (which
was just before I recorded them in the URL that you quote and promtly
forgot them).
