We need a little specificity. Many will be blocked by default if you set up shorwall according to the quick start guide, others will require specific rules for specific ports, and still others are so slippery you are hard pressed to stop them at all. -- John Andersen - NORCOM http://www.norcomsoftware.com/

There are several hints about integrating it into shorewall. Here is the link to to the ipp2p-module: http://rnvs.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/ipp2p/index.html Toni> > > Best Regards, > > > Anderson Oliveira. > anderson@institutopaideia.org > > > > _______________________________________________ > Shorewall-users mailing list > Post: Shorewall-users@lists.shorewall.net > Subscribe/Unsubscribe: > https://lists.shorewall.net/mailman/listinfo/shorewall-users Support: > http://www.shorewall.net/support.htm > FAQ: http://www.shorewall.net/FAQ.htm
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear Anderson, it would be nice if you could describe a bit more specific what kind of P2P traffic you wanna stop. Blocking P2P traffic is not that simple, because there are several implementations of P2P protocols out there. For starting you should take a look at the nice Shorewall FAQ at: http://www.shorewall.net/Shorewall_and_Kazaa.html As another hint I''m using iptables patched with string match support to block Kazaa traffic. Kazaa as example is very slippery, but I''m getting nice results with it.
