Shorewall users - May 2004 - Mandrake 10 OE and Shorewall

I read the update on the Shorewall site, but don''t completely
understand it.
Does Mandrake 10 OE use the correct configuration of Shorewall so I
don''t
need to download & install the online Shorewall version to do the neat vpn
stuff?

 

I have a two nic firewall and would love to vpn to the servers for
maintenance.

There is no difference in function between what Mandrake has provided 
and what is available online (other than there are later versions 
available online). With Mandrake 10.0 Official (but not Community), the 
"Internet Connection Sharing" Wizard configures Shorewall in a
standard
way rather than in the previous bizarre fashion.

In the Shorewall documentation, the version when a particular feature 
because available is always mentioned in the description of the feature 
so you should be able to tell if the version of Shorewall in your 
Mandrake distro meets your needs.
