Tom:
I must have inserted "2". Thanks. It fixed the problem.

Given that you are the only person to ever report these symptoms, you
are clearly doing something different from all other Shorewall users.
I suspect that a line in your shorewall.conf file contains:
2############################################################
In other words, you have inserted a "2" at the beginning of a comment.
If you can''t find the problem in shorewall.conf then:
cd /etc/shorewall
grep ^2 *
That will show you all lines beginning with "2" in /etc/shorewall

PS - I personally consider it rude to repost a question on a mailing
list without acknowledging the replies that were sent when you asked the
first time. Both David Hollis and I replied to your original post.
